Shipping and budget

Should I combine my items or ship separate parcels?

Updated Lire en français

The short answer

Compare the combined parcel quote with the sum of the separate quotes. Combining may share some costs but can change volume, billing tiers and available lines. It is not automatically cheaper.

Purchases from different shops can be brought together by an agent. Domestic delivery from each seller remains separate from the decision about international consolidation.

Compare two scenarios

  1. Use the same items, quantities and destination in both scenarios.
  2. Estimate the weight and dimensions of the combined parcel and each separate parcel.
  3. Compare all shipping and packaging charges as well as each line’s restrictions.

Account for the wait

If one item has not arrived, check how long you are willing to wait and the storage deadlines. Splitting can let ready items leave earlier at the cost of a second shipment. The right choice depends on your budget and required date, not simply the number of products.
